ok, so me and "him" (my now ex) had sex on Halloween about a week or so before i was supposed to have my period. well, being my first time of course i bled for a day or two. i took Plan B the next night. then i noticed that i sometimes bled when i peed or whiped. since Plan B can screw with your hormones i didnt think to much about it when i started pms-ing and got my period a week(ish) late. i've had some symptoms like feeling sick and really tired and i know that every woman experiances it a little differently. some even get their periods in the begging just like the normaly would. the thing is i feel like its still to early to tell with a test and am worried about what my "now" boyfriend would think. what should i do? could i be? HELP :S

If you took the Plan B pill about a day after the intercourse then it should be very effective for you. Below is a link to the Plan B website that lists the side effects from the Plan B, which includes the delayed period, nausea and tired feelings you described.

To address the cravings and increase in hunger these are probably attributed to an upcoming period. Usually having your period (even a week late) is a great indicator of not being pregnant, but if you are still concerned then you can always take an at home pregnancy test to help ease your mind.

Best of luck, and please reply with any questions!

thanks... i guess i'm just a little hipped-up about it cuz everyone who knows about it (including my "now" B.F.) keep joking that i am. and reading that link really helped me notice that pretty much almost all of the symptoms pf Plan B are a lot like those of a prenancy. the cravings were a little weird though because what i was craving was so much different then what i usually crave. haha... i guess i'm kinda reading more into this then i should have, but with all the stress (going back to ex and now bf issuses) plus school and the mood swings and everthing, i just kinda jumped the gun a little... >_<

Its really easy to get swept up in thinking you are pregnant, if everyone keeps saying you are, and if you read pregnancy symptoms on line then you might start believing that you are experiencing these symptoms as well. But try to remember that stress will only delay a period further.

Its perfectly normal to be worried when you think you might be pregnant, but worrying will not help the situation. You were responsible in taking the Plan B, and hopefully will be more careful in the future.

Best of luck to you, and please keep us posted. Also, best of luck with the ex and current boyfriend. Stressful relationships can be a little overwhelming, but try to keep calm and handle the situation as best as you can.

That's definitely understandable and you are right many of the symptoms of the Plan B are similar to ones that a woman who is pregnant may experience. Also pregnancy symptoms are similar to PMS symptoms that a lot of women experience before, or during their period. Sometimes more stress can cause us to eat differently too.

Best of luck.
